We attended the book launch party at 1st Dibs at the New York Design Center for "Be Your Own Decorator," Susanna Salk's new book from Rizzoli. Salk showcases the industry's top designers including Curated. The Iacono Residence, featured in the Balance chapter, highlights how to achieve harmony in decor that is both "soothing and spirited." Salk selected images of her favorite rooms to inspire those doing it themselves to bring personality and style to their own home. Salk explained to 1stdibs' Stephanie Vanamee, "This book is not saying that we don't need designers. We need them to create the benchmark of style and to help guide us. If we are lucky enough to work with them. But if we can't, we can be inspired by their ideas. I think my book is a wonderful showcase for their work."
