November 4, 2011 - Curated. development noted "design triumph" in the Daily News
Curated. "helped rewrite the building's narrative from troubled condo to high-design wonder" reports Jason Sheftell of our 144 North 8th building. His in depth article describing the project's interesting path to completion was featured in New York's Daily News. Curated was retained to redesign the entire interior on the project after the building was designed and already under construction. Sheftell interviewed the team in charge of marketing and sales for the development. Corcoran's Deborah Rieders says buyers immediately respond to design. "This is the best lobby in Brooklyn," says Rieders, who specializes in Brooklyn and lives in the borough. "The craftsmanship, the art, the size of it-the developers really put a lot of money into common spaces. It has a very masculine feel, but it's warm and inviting and appeals to women and families." Sheftell characterizes the interior experience and Curated.selected finishes and fixtures as feeling "like putting on a custom-made suit or vintage Burberry coat. Walking into the building feels as if you're getting into a warm bed with 1,000-count sheets and a cashmere comforter. It's safe, quiet, stylish and secure."
