Sara Beeken
A North Carolina transplant to Colorado, by way of South Lake Tahoe, CA! I grew up skiing and racing at Beech Mountain, NC. After studying Recreation Management at Appalachian State University and competing on the race team, I returned to Beech Mountain as a Race Coach! Within a few years, I became the Head Coach and Director of the competition team program at Beech. Looking for bigger mountains, I relocated to South Lake Tahoe where I coached the competition team at Heavenly. I lived there for three years before moving to Colorado, where I live now and in the winters I focus on hooking people up with their perfect gear on Curated and spend lots of time skiing for fun!
I've worked for 3 different ski shops and rental companies! I'm a total gear junkie and truly love helping people find the perfect setup! I've always been the go-to gear advisor for all of my athletes! In the summers, I am the Camp Director for the Southeastern Alpine Race Camp, in Mt. Hood, Oregon, which is a true passion of mine. We get kids from the often-overlooked ski programs in the southeastern region and create an affordable option for them to train during the summer.
I've been working for Curated for a year now and I couldn't imagine a better job! I've helped thousands of people get into their perfect setup and absolutely LOVE to hear back from everyone about how they like their gear! My connection with people I meet on curated goes past the time you click 'purchase'. I like to keep in touch, hear about your best ski days, and of course, make sure that your gear is helping you to have the best experience you possibly can!
I am also a part of the Curated Content Team, which means that I help create the ski reviews that you see on youtube and on our product page. This is one of my favorite parts of the job because I get to test out a ton of the 2024 gear and give you first hand feedback about what I thought of the products!
I can't wait to help you pick out the perfect setup for your unique needs so that your ski experience is the best it can be!
