Robert was so helpful. When I told him that I was Vegan, he was happy to dig a little deeper to find me Vegan options for a new pair of hiking shoes. He did offer socks, but there was only one non-wool option and I wasn't in love with them. Hopefully Curated will add more Vegan friendly products to choose from. Excited to discover what else I'll be needing for my future hiking/camping adventures and I will definitely ask Robert for help again.

I like to do a lot of research before I buy something, but it's always nice to have an informed expert to bounce ideas off of. Sometimes things look really good on paper, but you just don't know what you don't know!

First time buying gear in over 20 years and starting over. The myriad of equipment and specs has been a quagmire in my research. Robert has nailed it and VERY effectively guided me towards the products and manufacturers for the highest quality and dependable offerings for each aspect of 3-30+ day hiking/camping needs. Sleep Systems, Pack Options, Hydration-Filtration-Carry options, Shelter needs and "wants", cooking/stove/fuel, poles, Accessories: storage, dry bags, stuff sacks, and the gamut of ALL that self sustaining outdoor adventure and survival require. It was overwhelming to say the least but his EXPERIENCE in BOTH the field AND the manufacturer offerings has been beyond helpful. His patience has proven he's here to help and not just "close the deal". Exemplary knowledge base and service. Thank you for that !!!

Robert is very helpful on understanding what your needs are for going backpacking and created a amazing list of what items I would need to have a awesome backpacking trip!

Robert had great advice and was professional while still showing personal interest. I was worried I'd end up getting pressured into trying to buy something, but I felt completely comfortable. I definitely plan on purchasing one of Robert's suggestions and thank him and Curated for the positive experience.

No complaints here. I was daunted by trying to use Google to find a good quality tent but I’m thankful it brought me here! They do a way better job then I could on my own.

A few weeks ago I decided I wanted to plan to attempt a thru hike on the Appalachian Trail. I have a lot of hiking/camping experience, but never serious backpacking. I quickly became lost in a vast and expensive world of ultra lite gear and gadgets Trying to do my own research, I stumbled on this site and figured I'd give it a try. I had a million questions. As I bounced questions off of Robert and prodded him for tips and guidance to see how much I could get out of him-- including things that were not gear related but that would be helpful for me to know on the trail, but that gave him no financial incentive to divulge. He was INCREDIBLY RESPONSIVE and giving with his time and knowledge as he guided me through a world where I am only beginning to become familiar! All the while, I am a broke grad student on a budget so every time he sent me curations I would scour the internet for better deals that he was able to price match time after time. Seriously, I'm BLOWN AWAY at how helpful Robert was over what has amounted to days worth of conversations!
