By day, I am a hydrogeologist in the Denver area, but my passion for skiing goes much deeper than my current career. I started skiing at age 4, and I haven't missed a season. I've been skiing longer than I've been doing just about anything else, and have filled my winters with racing, ski-bumming, and multiweek winter backcountry expeditions. I've personally experienced the innovations and developments that have occured in the ski industry over the years, and can answer all your questions and give you personally relevant explanations of ski-industry jargon like "side-cut", "rocker", and my personal favorite: "torsional rigidity". I put my own gear through the ringer and I use every piece of it for its entire lifespan. This stuff is expensive and you want to get your money's worth!
I have helped many people get the right gear, whether that be brand new beginners looking to make their initial purchases, intermediates trying to get to the next level without killing their bank account, and advanced skiers looking to branch out into new terrain like the backcountry. I love connecting with people over skiing and am happy to spend time discussing your ideal setup!
