I was matched w/Alan D. as my ski expert. He really asked ME a lot of questions to establish the type of skier I am and what types of terrain I like to ski. I mentioned I really love the old skis I'm replacing and Alan used that info to narrow down what ski would be the best fit. He was very specific as to why he thought the ski he selected would be a good fit for me. Great job and many thanks !

Alan was great— he tossed out lots of options for me, then helped me narrow down my choices. After some due diligence, research, reviews and quick responses from texts and emails as the thoughts came to me, Alan was a big help in directing me to my new skis. I’ve always demoed prior to buying for the last 20 years or so, but like everything, Covid has messed with that plan! Alan helped me a ton over the course of two weeks!! I was so unsure about getting another pair of skis since I bought my last ones a whopping 5 years ago and was out of the know. He was on the lookout for deals AND best fit for me. I will for sure be coming back to him for advice on any winter gear. Super dope guy!!

Alan really listened to me when I described my older style of skiing (53 years in the making) and didn't rebuff my desire to not change how I ski to accommodate the newer wider shaped skis. He was generous with his time, his expertise, and was patient when I asked him to explain terms and how such things as side cut, radius, rockers, and length would impact how I ski (in my old-fashioned stance) on the various skis he found for me. He diligently looked for skis that could best accommodate my desired stance and slight build. Ultimately, curated's resources did not have the ski I decided to purchase. But he was professional and was very gracious when I told him of my decision. I remain hopeful that perhaps I someday, might take a run or two with him on the slopes at Smuggs!

Alan was soooo helpful! I gave him super specific criteria that I was looking for in a ski and he took it and ran with it. It took a HUGE weight off my shoulders trying to find something that would work perfectly for me on my own. What a guy!(:
