Alex Johnson

I am a lifelong fisherman based in the Midwest, and I have had a passion for fishing and the outdoors for as long as I can remember. As a recreational fisherman, I have fished in many states across the U.S. in freshwater lakes and rivers, as well as some inshore and offshore saltwater experience. My greatest expertise lies in freshwater species such as largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish, and walleye/sauger.

As a mostly self-taught angler, I know firsthand how confusing and daunting fishing gear and lingo can be for beginners and experienced anglers alike. I love to help people get into fishing because it is my passion. I want people to experience the fun, excitement, beauty, and memories that go hand-in-hand with being on the water that I have come to know from my own fishing experiences.
