Born and raised near Cincinnati, Ohio I actually wasn't much of an angler growing up. I would occasionally take a spin rod to a bass pond but fishing wasn't a big part of my life. That all changed when some friends introduced me to fly fishing while I attended the University of Vermont. I quickly fell in love with all the aspects associated with fly fishing from reading the river to matching the hatch!
After receiving a degree in Wildlife & Fisheries Biology, I bounced around out west eventually landing in Bozeman, MT and spend any free time I have fishing the many amazing rivers and lakes we have here. While Montana is my new home, I have guided on the North Platte River and the Encampment River in Wyoming during my travels around the mountain west. When I'm not on the water you can find me out hiking, on the fly tying bench, attempting to build a rod or two, or at the local watering hole!
