Captain Mark Freeman
Fly-fishing has been my passion for nearly 50 years. I spent most of my life in Michigan pursuing a professional career, raising my family and fishing. When I wasn't working or fishing, I was in my drift boat guiding clients for Trout, Steelhead, Salmon and Bass. I was a member of the G. Loomis Pro Staff team for 12 years where I consulted on product design and put on casting exhibitions at fly-fishing shows across the country. I've fished for trout extensively across the country and throughout the world to destinations including Argentina, Alaska, British Columbia, Quebec, Ontario, Labrador, New Zealand and Europe. I've also fished the Amazon River basin for Peacock Bass and saltwater flats in the Bahamas, Belize, all 3 Caymen Islands, Mexico the Florida Keys. Chances are I have personal experience on the waters you are fishing. In addition to being a Curated Fly Fishing Expert, I serve as a part time flats guide here in Florida chasing Tarpon, Snook, Bones, Redfish and Permit on the fly. I also am a fly fishing instructor, fly tier, rod builder and consult with several major fly fishing companies designing, evulating and testing new products. I'm a life member and past officer of Trout Unlimited and a member of FFF, BOJC, Bonefish and Tarpon Trust and Captains for Clean Water. In my spare time I go fishing.
