I’m a former alpine racer of 12 years. Once I was finished competing and had started college, I tried out for and joined the Middlebury Snow Bowl ski patrol where I worked and volunteered for the entirety of my college career. When I finished college, I stayed on with the patrol for a season to work as the assistant director.
After transitioning out of the racing world, I started to alpine tour and got more interested in backcountry skiing. Now, I am making another transition in to the big mountain category. I have dabbled in park skiing over the years since I decided to quit racing and am continuing to learn more tricks and develop my air awareness.
I’ve spent most of my life skiing on the east coast but lived in Colorado for five years and competed there for alpine racing. I now live in Salt Lake City where I continue to explore the mountains and ski as much as I possibly can! I plan to start competing for big mountain next winter here in Utah!
Outside of the world of skiing, I work full time as a research scientist. I study Kidney Disease and renal disregulation in general. Currently I am working to develop a model for cognitive and behavioral dysregulation in flies related to uremia and renal failure! I am taking some time to do research and ski before I head back to grad school to pursue an MD/PhD dual degree (hopefully here in Utah!).
My diverse skiing background has allowed me to put numerous brands to the test to find the equipment that will both stand the test of time and provide the best ride possible for a wide variety of skiing types!
