Although I'm originally from Charlotte, NC, as a kid I would come out to Steamboat Springs, CO to visit my aunt and uncle. I put on my first pair of skis at the age of 5 and have been hooked on the sport ever since. I've spent almost every winter out in the mountains of Colorado and Utah skiing and snowboarding, and I have yet to feel even the slightest touch of boredom.
After graduating college in New York I was fortunate enough to move out West and be in the mountains full time! Now each winter I'm faced with the daunting task of deciding how to spend my time between skiing, snowboarding, ice climbing, and venturing out into the backcountry.
During an average winter I'd say I spend the time on my skis split 50/50 between the resort and backcountry. I love skiing with family and friends out on the resorts, but there's nothing quite like skinning up a ridgeline to ski a line that nobody has ever ridden before!
Apart from the actual skiing, the thing I enjoy most about the sport is the gear! I love being a gearhead and researching the lastest and greatest that the outdoor sports industry has to offer. Great gear can be the difference between a good day in the mountains and a day that you'll remember for years to come. I truly believe in the look good, feel good, play good mentality and with that I look forward to helping you find the right gear for your next adventure!
