Well it all started in 2009 at a thrift store. I came across an espresso machine that looked pretty fancy. So I had to do some serious research (Google). It was an older Rancilio Silvia. Wow! Now I can make espresso at home! Well in theory this was true, but I had no idea what I was doing.. So that was the beginning of my espresso journey.
Since then I’ve become a coffee nerd and to this day I can’t imagine getting up as early as I do without my morning espresso routine.
I’ve used and even refurbished many different espresso machines (manual, semi-auto, and super-automatic) and grinders to understand the ins and outs of how they work.
Whether you are new to espresso or a well established barista, I’m here to help!
Also, I am chef as my full time career. I love talking about food, antique (and current) kitchen wares, and of course knives!
