Hello! My name is John and I have been working in the food service industry for the past 23 years. Since I was a kid I have been fascinated with cooking and knives. This happened to make my decision to work with food an easy choice!
Over the years I have collected many different pieces of cutlery for my home and for working in commercial kitchens. I received my first chef’s knife (Wüsthof Classic 9’) in 1998 and still use it today. I also use knives made by many different manufacturers including Zwilling/JA Henkels, Miyabi, Victorinox, Mac, and Mercer. For me it’s important to find a knife than feels great in my hand, is fairly easy to maintain, works well for its intended purpose, and looks nice!
I’m here to use my experience to help you find whatever you need whether it’s for your home, you’re starting your culinary career, or even a gift for someone else!
