Snowriders, we seek it more than perfect days and the ultimate gear. It's that feeling of flow. Have you felt that? Maybe you were charging down a run, making quick decisions in a swirl of exertion, speed and shifting terrain, and then...almost imperceptibly, your mind becomes quiet. There are no more conscious decisions...just flow. These are the moments we remember, carry with us.
It's the pursuit of flow that keeps me coming back to snowboarding, even when the chairlifts are blowing sideways or the hike up is abusive. A single moment like that can make your whole day on the mountain.
Plus, the unforgettable experiences, natural beauty, good friends and fun that the sport has brought into my life. Those things are pretty cool too!
I have learned, over the years, that having the right gear plays a critical role in the equation. And that's a big reason why I'm on Curated.
My mission is to help people find the gear that makes that flow possible, as often as possible!
For many years, Mt. Hood was my home mountain, and for the last 12 seasons- Mt. Bachelor.
I have ridden all over the West and beyond, yet it feels like there are endless places left to ride and explore. This may be the year I go to Japan, and not long ago, we were in Revelstoke BC on the helis, riding pillow lines that I will never forget.
I love a good deal, and when it comes to snow gear, I can't buy a thing without digging into the research. Making the right buying decision is just too important in a sport where you can spend $500 on a jacket these days! (Not to mention the rising cost of passes...) Plus, it's fun to geek out on the latest gear and the tech behind it!
Whether you are on day 1 or year 20, I can help you find what you are looking for, and whether you decide to buy something or not, I am happy to help.
