Growing up in a suburb of New York City, most of my outdoor adventures were in the Northeast. Hiking, skiing, horseback riding, or just exploring the woods, when I was outside, I was in my element. Now, I am lucky to call Salt Lake City my home, where the world’s greatest outdoor playground is my backyard! Since living in Utah, my Big Agnes tent has become my second home, putting a "roof" over my head in torrential down pours, snow, and on clear moonless nights. I have walked thousands of miles in my Anu boots, through the desert dirt and slickrock, over snowy mountain passes, and through the Nepal monsoon season mud. I’ve carried my Gregory pack through the Wasatch, the Rockies, the Tetons, the Himalayas, and the Andes. Being outside and experiencing nature has given me so much enjoyment and taught me some valuable lessons throughout my life. And the great thing is, there are many ways to enjoy the outdoors! So whether you are planning a car camping trip for the first time ever, or you are a seasoned backpacker planning to bag another peak, I want to make sure you have the best experience possible so that you can feel a sense of fulfillment, accomplishment, appreciation for this beautiful Earth, and enjoy every minute of it!
