Born and raised in the South. Live in Atlanta. You may ask, "why in the world would this guy be considered a snowboarding expert?". If you can ride on glare ice on the east coast, you can ride anything. As a skateboard rat and an occasional skier, when snowboards were available via mail order in a Thrasher magazine, I had one. A Winterstick, with what looked like backpack straps for bindings. No metal edges!!! I learned real quick as a first time rider how important the right gear is. Though still primitive, we rode in Sorel boots back then, I knew that something had to be better. I got my first Burton Elite 150 the next week and was good to go.
I've been riding all over US since 1985. Every chance I get to travel out west, I do. I work as the Snowboard guy at one of the largest Ski and Snowboard shops in the South. I help everyone from beginners to experienced riders, young and old with their set ups. I look forward to helping you too.
