Growing up in Arizona, you would probably not expect there to be much snowboarding going on. While this is true to a certain extent, my home mountain resides in Flagstaff, Arizona. Arizona Snowbowl's basecamp sits at 9,500 feet elevation and averages 260 inches of snow each year. While attending college in Flagstaff at Northern Arizona university, I made Snowbowl my second home. I would be at the mountain any chance I could. Getting there for first chair, then heading down to get to my 10 AM class.
Snowboarding created an outlet for me to experience nature and see an environment I never really experienced while growing up in the desert of Phoenix, Arizona. I eventually learned that having the right gear makes a world of difference and I wish I had learned that sooner. After discovering this, I did hours and hours of research, finding the right board for me. Now, I want to be able to help others find their perfect setup and have the same love and joy for snowboarding that I do!
