Kevan Gahan
I was born and raised in the Portland, Oregon area, and I have been fortunate enough to have skied every winter (and a lot of summers on Mt. Hood!) for as long as I can remember. Throughout the years I have gained experience in various disciplines including alpine ski racing, terrain park (freestyle), all-mountain/free ride, and now ski mountaineering.
I love skiing because of the escape it provides from everyday life. Skiing is unique and special opportunity to grow relationships and learn about yourself outside of your everyday routine. It gets you out of your comfort zone!
Whether it is your first time on the hill, or you're a lifelong ski addict like myself, it quickly becomes apparent that the gear you use matters - it has a massive impact on the enjoyment you get out of this special sport. Whether its making sure you get the right pair of gloves so your hands stay comfortable even on the coldest days, or helping you pick your next pair of skis to shred the whole mountain with, I want to be the gear expert for you that I always wish I had. The quicker and easier you can get on the hill with gear that is hand picked for you, the more enjoyment you will get - and that's what it's all about!
When I'm not skiing, I work as a Mechanical Engineer in the automotive industry. I spend my free time outside of ski season mountaineering on the volcanoes here in the Cascades, hiking, mountain biking, lifting weights, and playing the guitar! I love talking about any of these things, so let's chat!
