Kevin Benscheidt

Originally from California, I grew up surrounded by outdoor traditions. My friends and I do a backpacking trip to the same natural rock slide in the Sierra Nevadas each year. My Dad and I go to Yosemite every winter to watch the sunrise over the valley, and our family reunions occur out on the ski slopes.

Above all, I love spending time outside with people! Some of my favorite memories are from leading outdoor education trips with kids. This includes summers of backpacking in Colorado and Europe, and winters filled with ski instructing in Vermont. I'm a graduate of Middlebury College with degrees in Economics and searching for the elusive east coast powder day.

I had done some previous research on a new ski setup (my first brand new set), but still wasn't %100 sure on what to go with. Considering the investment, you want to be sure you're making a good decision, so I reached out to CURATED. Kevin picked out some options for me, even a few I had previously looked at, and helped confirm some of my thoughts on what to purchase.
