I arrived on Curated's website seeking the best price on ski boots, and more importantly, the chance to chat with a boot-fitter from home. I wanted a second opinion on the options I'd tried on at my local ski shop. I also wanted to get into the nitty gritty details of: my specific fit as double wide, small women's foot; and, the ski boot mechanics as they pertain to how women ski, to the skis I will be driving, to my current ability level, and to the level I intend to progress to. After making clear what I was looking for and sharing my measurements/ skier type with Leo, he put together his recommendations, and then answered every question I had about the items in our chat box with exceptional detail. He even jumped on a phone call to hash out my final choice for my overall set up. I had done hours of my own research prior to this, but to have Leo's one-on-one attention while reviewing a list of options "curated" specifically for my needs was a relief after combing the internet (read-Blister podcasts and Blister summit videos accessible to non-members). I confidently purchased ski boots and bindings for my new skis with Leo's guidance. Nothing about our interaction felt like the in-store sales "ick", when you feel the sales' person is pushing an item on you to make the sale. Instead, Leo was incredibly friendly as we chatted through Technica's W2W program, why he loves super feet, and other topics that gave me layer upon layer of foundational context for making my own informed decision on what to purchase that would work best for me. 10/10 service, knowledge, and efficiency in explaining his recommendations. Setting Leo apart was his diligence in learning exactly what product was best for ME. Not the best selling, not the best price, but the best FIT and long term value. He did a lot of work and research, asked the right questions, and walked me through the entire process over several days. Top notch expertise service!

Went into my purchasing experience not knowing exactly what I needed/wanted. Leo made it all SO easy and made sure I understood why each gear piece would be the ideal choice for me. I gave him my budget, and if it weren't for shipping and tax then we would've been just short of my budget (which is AWESOME). Skied a fair bit as a kid in the Northeast, then switched to snowboarding when I moved out west 15 years ago, and just getting back into skiing somewhat seriously as my kids are pretty self-sufficient and competent on most runs these days. We usually rent, but after skiing about 20 days last year, I decided that buying new boots at a minimum was an absolute must. Some days were pure torture… But, I had no idea where to start and was instantly overwhelmed beginning my search on my own. Enter Leo and Curated. Leo took the time to understand my situation, my skill level, my goals, my preferences, etc. In short order, after I sent back my boot measurements, I received a personalized video with several different options and tons of rationale for my expanded search for skis, bindings, and poles as well. I felt very comfortable that I had a good set of options to choose from for each piece of equipment - with an accompanying wealth of Leo’s deep knowledge and experience to consider as I pondered this large, potential purchase. I decided to hold off at that point, and Leo made sure I knew he was available to text or chat live as needed - he is super responsive. No pressure at all. I came back to it later the next day, chatted a bit back and forth with Leo, and felt really confident about making the purchase. That’s really saying something given how little I knew about modern ski gear just a night or two earlier. I highly recommend Leo and will be reaching out to him directly for any future purchases. Leo helped me pick out a pair of boots and also helped with the process of them fitting my foot and what I might need to make them more comfortable. Always responded fast and was very knowledgeable and definitely is good at helping with whatever it is you may need!

I very much enjoyed working with Leo on my ski purchase. I had done some research on my own but had not settled on a particular ski. I came across Curated by accident and did not know I would be connected to a live person - and someone who is quite knowledgeable as well! Leo listened to what I was looking for and put together some recommendations personalized for me.
