I've been drawn to the mountains since I was a half pint! I learned how to ski when I was 5 and by the time I was 12 snowboarding was the new, cool and somewhat rebellious thing to do (think early 90's)! So that year, Me and my rebel heart asked my mom for a snowboard. I wanted to see what all the rage was about. I knew it looked cool, but nothing could prepare me for what was about to happen! A complete obsession was born! Needless to say, I ditched the skis and made riding my jam! It's just how I roll. Yes, I am a bit of a black sheep in the family! A badge I happily wear with pride!
Fast forward more than 30 years and here I am today, still shredding the Northeast and elsewhere when I have the time! Luckily for me, I have always been an outdoor adventure warrior. Over the years, I have been a snowboard instructor, a ride school director, mountaineering guide, youth sports coach, and I am an entrepreneur who seeks to help people live a healthy and active lifestyle!
Life looks a little different now that I have little shredders of my own! Mountain time has been taken to a whole new level and I get to share my passion with them. I watch their eyes light up when they nail a new move or put some nice turns down! It's pretty cool!
I love talking about gear and new technology, styles of riding, watching natural selection and learning new tricks from some of my favorite riders. Whether you have questions about gear for yourself or even potential younger shredders, I have you covered!
