Luke McCloskey
I first snowboarded on sledding hills on an edgeless, plastic snowboard and fell in love with it. So, I attended Michigan Technological University & graduated B.S.M.E. with an Enterprise concentration in Board Sport Technologies!
In between mechanical engineering classes, I designed and pressed snowboards with the Enterprise. We had ample testing grounds since M.T.U. has their own terrain park at Mont Ripley and is 1 hour from Mount Bohemia, the best powder boarding in the Midwest. We were overly curious to continuously improve the composite snowboard layup to increase strength-to-weight ratios, provide more edge grip, or float the rider easier in powder. My favorite part was the continuous feedback loop of designing a board, riding it myself, and feeling the differences in the product. I still consider myself a snowboard scientist and my goal is to maximize the rider's enjoyment every day that they're on the mountain!

Luke went above expectations.
I’ve gone snow boarding a few times but never had my own setup. Got on Curated and linked up with Luke and was very easy to talk to and helped me with every little question I had. Gave me tons of different board and binding ideas to pick from and even facts about most of them. Highly recommend going to Luke with anything!

Luke was absolutely amazing!
I would highly recommend him. He wasn’t very pushy, which is what I was afraid of. It seriously felt like I was asking a friend for advice on which gear to get. Extremely professional as well! He was honest based off of my skill level. He took the time to not only recommend a snowboard but also bindings and boots! Thanks again, Luke!

Super Helpful, Highly Recommended
As someone who does not know much about snowboarding, trying to build a list of all the gear I need for a day on the slopes is already a lot. Combine that with sorting through different kinds of boards, boots, etc -- balancing cost vs. quality, etc, I'm just overwhelmed.
Luke made all of that very easy. He explained the pros and cons of each board, set of bindings/boots and provided transparent recommendations based on what he values most. He also asked really thoughtful questions to make sure he understood what my needs were and then taillored his recs based on those.
All around solid experience. Luke is seriously the man. Highly recommend working with him!

Luke is a really cool and knowledgeable
Luke is a cool dude I’m 49 and he treated me like one of his boarding buddies . I would totally luv to go shred a hill with him maybe we could teach each other some new tricks .I have been boarding on brands way before his time and he was completely into learning about old school but helped me understand the new technology of today in a way that was completely understandable . Thank You Again hope we are both still shredding at 50
