What's up mountain-lovers! My name is Maicen, I'm originally from Salt Lake City but live in Vancouver, BC. I spent 4 years getting my Bachelor's degree in Astrophysics and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, GO BADGERS! I'm now currently a graduate student at the University of British Columbia. I've worked a variety of jobs in my life ranging from testing NASA rockets to scaring people in a haunted house and even studying massive star-forming regions. I have been all around the world, from ice caving in Iceland to trekking through the Himalayas. Through all of my experiences, I've always spent the winter season snowboarding. The mountains are where I thrive, backpacking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. I absolutely love talking to customers about their experience, passion, and excitement to get on the slopes! See you out there!

Miacen was extremely helpful and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. He was very patient and gave fantastic, personalized answers to all my questions over the course of a few days. He also didn't pressure me into anything excessive and even gave cheaper recommendations when I mentioned interest in a product outside my skill level. Helpful and patient expert. These sort of purchases are stressful during these times and he was good at making the process less stressful.
I will say not having a military discount is a little off putting. I would recommend this site to my friends more confidently if you had that option. Other major vendors do offer this. The main reason I followed through was Macien was a good rep for this site.
