Growing up studying music and art, I always found myself in the local coffee shop after rehearsals and performances. Working through music school I became more and more of a foodie, and as I worked through my comprehensive exams, thesis, and dissertation, a hot, caffeinated beverage was always by my side. At 25, I was the youngest Food & Beverage Director in the US, and every morning the first thing on my list was checking in with my baristas at the espresso bar.
After finishing my PhD, I moved to sunny Pensacola, Florida to perform and teach music and art. However, I’m someone that is always looking forward to the next adventure, and whether it’s through art, music, food & beverage, or even fishing, I’m always up for exploration, traveling, and experiencing new culture and ideas. I absolutely love meeting new people over a cup of espresso!
So, what do I need from you? Be honest with me about what you are looking for, your timeline, your budget, etc. I'm a coffee & espresso expert, not a sales guy! I know this market well, and will always keep your favorite beverage in mind, as well as your wallet! I'm always happy to find something cheaper, a different color, or put things on hold for a while if that's better for you! Just keep me in the loop!

Matthew was so helpful. I had no idea how complicated shopping for an espresso machine would be, and before I knew it, I was in over my head. When I found Curated, and was connected with Matthew- he distilled it all down for me. I told him what I wanted based on what I'd learned and the amount of time I could put into making a great espresso. I didn't know that you could purchase coffee grinders that are silent (super quiet) and that will be a game changer!

My experience with curated and the help I had from Matthew made a huge difference while shopping for an at home espresso set up! I was a barista years ago and worked with high end commercial machines but didn’t know where to start with at home systems when it came to getting the quality I was looking for while not breaking the bank. Matthew was extremely friendly and responsive in helping me find the right set up for me! He also ensured I got the best deal possible and for that I am extra grateful! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I clicked on the ad I originally saw, but my experience was well above my expectations and I’m excited for my grinder and espresso machine to arrive!!

Matthew helped me greatly!
When my much-used and truly enjoyed Breville Barista Pro stopped working, I loathed the prospect of replacing it. I really didn’t want another Breville (I was angry). I read and read MANY reviews of MANY machines. Depressing and overwhelming. Then, I met Matthew. He listened, responded, asked clarifying questions, and got me a set-up that fits my budget. If you work with him, you’ll very likely come away quite relieved and satisfied!

Matthew was super helpful, knowledgeable and efficient to find me what I needed within my budget. I could tell he's so passionate about coffee in general. He was able to use just a few additional questions to understand my preference and need and I was able to make a decision on the espresso machine I liked in such a short time. On top of that, there was a sale on the machine that fit my need, within my budget that i really liked, so the entire experience was time and money saver! Matthew was also very easy to talk to. I will definitely seek for Mathew's advice in my future coffee related purchases!

Really helped narrow down my decision
I had no idea which coffee machine to buy, but wanted a latte as good as my son makes with his hands on bistro type machine. But i knew i didn’t want all that work! Matthew helped me narrow down my purchase and i believe i got exactly what i need. Nice guy, too!
