I was lucky enough to have parents that brought me to skiing lessons when I was pretty young. I did it for a few years and then in high school when I was 14 I switched to the dark side, and I have been snowboarding ever since. I grew up in Massachusetts shredding the ice covered slopes of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. As soon as I went out west to Mammoth Mountain for the first time I knew that snowboarding was going to take up a significant portion of my life in the future!
Since I started to snowboard I've been to many different places, and despite never having a job in the snowboarding industry I've learned through friends and mentors along the way. Part of what I love about snowboarding is traveling to different places, and two seasons ago I was able to go to every mountain on the Ikon Pass in the United States. Last season I spent the winter traveling again chasing the snow and tried out some new spots as well. I love riding steep powder and difficult lines. I love talking gear and am excited to help you find what fits you best!

I have a lot snowboarding under my belt, but almost zero knowledge on snowboard tech. I was able to tell Max my skill level, what I like to do on the mountain, and my price range. I picked up his top choice for me, a 2021 Rome Speed Freak, and it really checks all the boxes and exceeds my expectations.

Max helped me on and off for almost 1.5 years as I was considering buying a snowboard. He gave me 3-4 rounds of recommendations, explained the differences, and even made a few explanatory videos when I had further questions. He wasn't too pushy, and didn't make me feel bad when I ultimately found a great deal on one of his recommended boards on another site that Curated couldn't price match. Will definitely be back if I have any other snowboarding needs!

Max is the best!
Max was knowledgeable, available and worked hard to help me get all the gear I needed to shred the gnar this year. I'm an intermediate boarder (8th time boarding) and I'm finally really to buy my own gear. Max not only gave me greats recs but he was good at explaining and educating me too. Max was nothing but patient and helpful to me with my gear selection.
