Hey everyone! My name is Michael. I've been working in cafes and around coffee/espresso for the last ten years. I got my first job at a Starbucks kiosk when I was 18. Initially I was looking for a lower maintenance job that was flexible and fun. I didn't know at the time that my little coffee hobby would turn into an obsession!
As I moved on from Starbucks to more local coffee shops and bakeries, I discovered how much I loved the work flow of making espresso beverages. It's always been so therapeutic for me. From the grinding and dosing, to watching the beautiful caramel colored espresso slowly drip from the portafilter. And of course, finishing it off with some latte art. The whole process truly bring me so much joy.
In the last five years I began expanding my knowledge of espresso machinery. Everything from beginner friendly espresso machines and grinders, to prosumer level devices with a wide variety of features. I'm super excited to help you find the right products for your particular needs and lifestyle. Be careful though... Your hobby may turn into an obsession ;]

Michael was great!!
I’ve been hemming and hawing about getting a new coffee setup since embarking on single working mom life. Don’t need to make a full pot every morning, but hate the waste of pods and K-cups. Plus, looking for something that would feel a bit luxurious and a splurge without breaking the bank. Stumbled upon Curated, and Michael helped me out. He made me feel a lot more confident in my decision, and he helped to steer me in the right direction (well, actually reassured me that the direction that I was already in was the right one). Absolutely amazing.
I’ve been a barista for almost two years now and I thought I knew what I should be looking for in espresso machines but I found out that I really didn’t.
