Michele J.
Started out skiing on Saddleback Mountain in Maine at the ripe age of 2. Around the age of 12, I took an interest in snowboarding. I did both for another 10 years, then I made the full transition to snowboarding and became addicted to it. Nothing makes me happier then a day of powder and being strapped to one of my boards floating through the snow. My two main boards I ride are a Jones Dream Catcher and a Jones Solution Splitboard. I have Karakoram bindings that I swap between the two boards and Vans Luna Ventana Pro Boots. I wear Patagonia outerwear. Gore-Tex is a must in my life. I previously worked at Golf and Ski Warehouse in Scarborough, Maine where I learned and excelled at fitting people for full ski and snowboard set ups. I learned proper boot fitting and outfitted customers for the proper outerwear for their styles and conditions of riding. I also worked for Backcountry.com as a Gearhead, helping people get the snowboard set ups they need and desire. I also have been a snowboard instructor, because teaching people to ride is one of the best experiences ever. I've lived in Maine and Montana and had the pleasure of riding at Big Sky, which I highly recommend if you want to take a trip out west. I also have two kids who I look forward to teaching to snowboard once they are big enough. I am a gear nerd and love talking about snowboards, splitboards, boots, wax, all of the things related to snowboarding. Some of my snowboard heroes are Jeremy Jones, Travis Rice, Bryan Iguchi, and Elena Hight.
