I worked at a golf course in VA, for 8.5 years and worked my way up from a range ball picker, through the cart barn, into the restaurant, finally settling as the weekend supervisor/closer. This final position was in the pro shop where we serviced in excess of 60,000 rounds a year. In addition, I worked for a golf clothing and memorabilia chain in malls on the East Coast for a year.
I run an introduction to golf through The First Tee program. I have written a review on Cleveland ZipCore Wedge for MyGolfSpy.com and am currently working on reviews for Curated.com as well. Finally, I spread more golf knowledge through my instagram, @brownbeargolf. I also produce content for my youtube channel where I review courses and equipment.
I currently hold an 9 USGA handicap. I play once a week and practice once a week at minimum. I have a deep passion for the game and hope to grow it by sharing my knowledge of the game and it's equipment. I hope the boom to golf instills passions in others for a wonderful and life long journey in golf.

Very knowledgeable and patient
I was browsing irons and was hooked up with Miguel. I learned more in 1/2 hour than I could've learned in 10 hours of searching the web. All in all Miguel spent a lot of time making sure I was getting the clubs that fit my game and my needs. I'll be looking him up for any golf purchases in the future for sure!

11/10 Experience! Miguel is an absolute gem!
I was in the market for a new set of irons for the first time in years. With the countless options out there and all the new technology available today, it was tough to decide what would be right for me. Miguel asked tons of questions about my game & goals, and provided a handful of options at different price points. He even explained (in great depth) the pros and cons of each of the iron sets he suggested. I am extremely impressed with the irons, and equally as important, the level of service and care Miguel provides to customers.
