Skiing is my passion and is in my blood. I started skiing when I was 2 years old in Stowe, Vermont. My grandparents were from Austria and built a house in Stowe in the 1970's which I visited every weekend in the winter. I'm in my element when tackling the famous front four on Mt. Mansfield, or venturing into the woods at the resort and the backcountry on the Chin and in Smuggler's Notch.
Stowe is my home mountain, but I have also been skiing Snowbird and Alta amost every season for the past 20 years, and love the opportunity to explore new mountains whenever I can.
We call our garage in Stowe the "Ski Museum", because my family has kept all the old skis we have used throughout the years. From my father's original The Ski and my uncle's first year Salomon X-Scream to my 2009 Volkl Mantra and 2018 Nordica Enforcer, every ski is a unique tool with it's own story.
When I'm in Vermont, if I'm not skiing, you can find me tuning my skis as well as those of family and friends. I am always looking to test new skis whenever possible and I have amassed quite a collection of skis, bindings and boots. They all have their specific purpose and it's my hobby to learn about them, ski them, and keep up with the latest gear.
In recent years, I have acted as something of a ski consultant to my family and friends. I'm the guy they call on when they need new skis and equipment and I enjoy helping them out and finding the most appropriate gear. I get true satisfaction from matching a person to the right skis, and my mission at Curated is to bring this feeling to as many people as possible, so they can enjoy skiing as much as I do.
