I have spent 8+ years guiding rivers in NC, CO, WV, and WA. On overnight river trips, not only am I a river guide, but also a professional chef, hiking guide, wildlife expert, geology enthusiast, and campsite all-star. I can pitch a tent that I have never touched, hang a tarp where there are no trees and build a fire before you realized you were cold! The one thing I don't do is play the guitar around the campfire. I love being outside and find comfort with limited amenities. I'm a strong believer that you have to keep a few guilty luxuries accessible 😉. Tasty food, hot coffee, an interesting book, and good friends are essentials that I never have a shortage of.
Last year I spent 24 days camping on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon with a few other Curated Experts! It was a fantastic time and I recommend it to all!

I really enjoyed working with Parker. He was my second expert on this site. I had requested a new expert because the first person I had didn't seem to know the products that well and didn't do any research to help me select products. Parker was really great about looking into any products with which he wasn't personally familiar. He gave some good suggestions on products and searched to make sure he had gotten me a good choice. I really appreciated his efforts at finding any information that would help me select the best product for my needs. He was very patient with me, as it took me several weeks to finalize my purchases.

Parker is wonderful!!!
My experience with curated was short of a disaster at first but Parker saved the day!!! Ans is continuing to do so even as we speak lol my order was a mess and a lot of things happened out of my control that made it a mess!!! Long story short they had to issue a refund and I had to order most of my gear somewhere else but Parker made it right and ordered my husband and I water filter bottles for our future hikes!! He didn't have to do this but he felt so bad about my experience that he wanted to make it up to us the best he could..our vac will now go a little smoother due to his generosity!!
