Started snowboarding in the 80s. Yup I'm a dinosaur but snowboarding keeps me young!
Growing up on the east coast I learned to use my edges quick and started teaching snowboarding and then designing snowboard bindings in college (Plastics Engineer)--yes it was super fun! Moved to Salt Lake City in 1998 to SHRED POWDER! In 2004 I moved to Colorado where I'm at now mostly riding Mary Jane (Winter Park) Copper and Eldora.
I'm a snowboard collector and this quickly turned me into what is known as a "Quiver Guy" !!
This just means I have snowboards for specific conditions or terrain and I typically bring a few different boards to ride any given day. You could say, I've never met a snowboard I didn't like. :) Each snowboard has a unique shape and design and its my job to figure out where they excell. So my analytical engineering mind loves looking at snowboard design specs and will be happy to recommend what's worked for me and what I feel will get you those big smiles from slashing pow or trench digging carves on hardpack! After all Snowboarding is all about having FUN!!
Father of two snowboard kids (12 &13) and my other interests are Falconry, fishing, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, indie rock, Burning man, and Art................LET IT SNOW!!
