Engineering Supervisor by day; ski-addict by night/weekend. Skiing has taken me to Canada, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, and Utah, and all are places I'd rather be skiing than my current location in Minnesota (which, to be honest, isn't that bad...see Marcus Caston's Minnesota Return of the Turn episode). When I'm not sending it down the Dictator Chutes or Upper Cirque out West, I'm an adaptive ski trainer and instructor in MN, which gives me an excuse to do what I love and help others to do it with me.
I absolutely love to ski and love the skis that I use! My DPS Koala 103s help me carve up groomers and blow through variable snow conditions. Last season I started experimenting with telemark skiing and have enjoyed freeing the heel. My favorite hobby outside of skiing is shopping for skis but never buying them, so I'm always up-to-date with the latest releases and new technologies!

Great experience
I found Curated through a random search. I had just gotten back from Killington and really wanted to stop renting skis, and purchase a setup that I could grow and improve with. My knowledge of skis was very limited when I first started talking with Robbie, but he definitely pointed me in the right direction and answered all my questions. Super happy with my purchase. The Declivity 88c’s are sick. Highly recommend this site for anyone looking to get set up, but doesn’t know the best route to take.

Robbie was so helpful and responsive!
Robbie was great to work with. He was very knowledgeable and listened to what I was looking for as a skier and offered great suggestions. When I threw him a curve ball with a change in my preference he asked me questions to make sure I understood what that meant in what I may be giving up versus what I’d be getting and add more options to my curated list to look at. At the end of the day he gave me great options for my build and skier profile and great binding options for my bad knee. Would definitely recommend him to help you out. On top of his knowledge he was super responsive, answer almost immediately no matter then time. I greatly appreciated his help.

Robbie's Minnesota friendliness shined through every message as we talked about skis, boots, and more. Winter 22/23 I'm getting back on the slopes after a life-altering injury, and Robbie's experience as an adaptive ski instructor was super helpful as well as I weighed my options.

A true snow angel
After years away from the sport it felt very daunting to hop back into new gear. Especially in the world of online shopping. Robbie is super friendly and helped answer a multitude of questions on gear from the tips of my skis to the top of my head. Highly recommend!!!

Multiple questions re "new skis" as I learned/used "Hart Competition" 180s "straight " from about 1970 to maybe 1993 (exactly?). These "carving styles" these days are a bit "frightening" for someone like myself who learned/appreciated 180 "straights.". I've been "checking out" the locals ' (in Chicago) recommendations as I've been "out of the sport"for a number of years while working as a Physician/Psychiatrist (M.D. type), plus an "horrendous Divorce Case." So I needed a bit of "critical thinking" from another individual to help me "understand" the suggestions of all varieties of "others" are quite similar. These choices are very important to myself as a critical thinker who has to "trust the other experts" in snow skiing (in order tonget back into it). TY! Very helpful.
