Travis H.
Hey guys! My name is Travis, I am from small-town Texas and got my start in the outdoors as a kid prospecting in the mountains with my father. I served 10 years in the army which afforded me the opportunity to have hiked and camped in or around but not limited to: Mexico, Germany, Italy, Iraq, Afghanistan, France, Bulgaria, Austria, The Czech Republic, and the United States.

Gear in the field is essential. "That sounds pretty easy right?" If you are heading out of your comfort zone you need gear. Having the right gear, to me is more than just essential, it's vital. In addition to being a morale booster having the right gear gives you peace of mind because anything can happen. In my opinion, this is always the right mindset to start any trek: being prepared and having the confidence to keep going and get to your next point on the map. Having the right gear and the right knowledge gets you there. I can help you with both!

While enlisted in the United States Army I graduated from U.S. Army Ranger school and did three tours in Iraq and the fourth tour in Afghanistan.

Passions are everything! For me, it was cooking and flying. I graduated with a degree in Food Science, so yeah I am a total nerd when people start talking about sous vide eggs. I go on they tell me for nigh on an hour about the denaturation of egg proteins and the pH level needed to not curdle the milk I am using to make ricotta cheese(" I digress, I could talk for hours about food science). It went from profession to true passion when I took my newfound cooking knowledge as well as my certified pilot knowledge to the outdoors!

I am here to use my experience to help you with whatever you need to get out there and enjoy nature and find passions of your own! Whether it is camping, hiking, fly fishing, kayaking, outdoor open flame cooking, etc. Chances are I've done it and I'm more than happy to help you navigate the same waters.

So please feel free to reach out and I'll be happy to use my experience to help you with whatever you need to get out there and enjoy nature and find passions of your own!
