About this Review: This review is my honest opinion of the putter, which I purchased with my own money in August of 2021.
My take
The Cleveland Frontline Elevado Putter has a single bend neck, which is designed for golfers who prefer to make a straight back and straight through putting stroke. This putter is a good option for golfers who like a mallet-style putter head.

How it performs
What I was looking for
I wanted a putter that would fit my putting stroke better than my previous putter (Odyssey White Hot XG #9) . I also wanted something that would provide some forgiveness on off-center putts.
Why I chose this club
The first thing that stood out to me with the Frontline Elevado putter was how easy it felt to keep the head online. I really liked the feel of the face and the head felt a little heavier than the Taylormade Spider GT I tested. When missing on the heel or toe, the ball continued to roll out, which was a big difference from my previous putter.
What I love about it
- Face Feel: The face features Cleveland’s Speed Optimized Face Technology and 2135 Technology. The face technology is a special pattern that normalizes ball speed across the face. Both provide a nice feel and sound at impact.
- Forgiveness: The two stability wings help keep the face straight and the tungsten forward weighting are two tungsten inserts placed on the heel and toe of the putter face. These help provide a high level of forgiveness.
- Weight: The weight felt great and comes in a little heavier than other options such as the Taylormade Spider putter, at 370g.
- Length: The putter comes in several length options including the 35” version I use which fits my 6’4” height nicely.
- Aesthetic Appeal: I really enjoy the look of the putter from the black finish to the stability wings.
- Other: Although we never want to miss a putt, I do appreciate how easy this mallet can pick up a ball.
Issues I’ve encountered
- Alignment: I personally have some difficulty aligning the ball with the center of the face. The single white topline does not help me with consistency.
- Grip Feel: The grip is comfortable, however, there are softer options available (Winn grips). This also is an oversized grip, but it’s still not as large as the superstroke grips. I would prefer they went with the larger grip even though this is larger than standard.
Best Putt or Round with this Putter
I have had some great putting rounds with this putter. I recently had 3 birdies putts in a row for 3 consecutive rounds and had a season high 12 one-putts.
Value for the money vs. other options
The Frontline Elevado seems to be a good value. There are some much cheaper options available (Tour Edge, Wilson staff) that don’t seem to perform as well to me. When comparing it to other top brands in the same style, this putter certainly comes in at a better price without giving up performance.
Final verdict
For any golfer who wants a mallet putter that is designed for a straight putting stroke, the Frontline Elevado is a great option. It has the right amount of tech at the right price point to bring a lot of value to the putter. For those who want something with a softer feeling face or a lighter head, I would recommend trying some other options available.
