About this Review: This review is my honest opinion of the clubs, which I purchased with my own money in June of 2022.
My take
The Cobra LTDx ONE Length is good for mid-handicap golfers who are searching for a more consistent setup with their irons. Some golfers have a hard time adjusting between their wedges to their high irons because of the different setups. This iron set eliminates the need to adjust by providing the same setup for each iron.

How it performs
What I was looking for
I notice that I have always struggled with consistency from my 4-6 irons. The increased length of the irons always felt awkward for me and made me change my swing often. When Cobra started making ONE Length, I figured it was about time I tried them as I was looking for more consistency with my long irons.
Why I chose this club
As the name ONE Length suggests, all the irons are designed to the same length as a 7 iron. Since the 7 iron is one of my most used clubs, I chose this so I can become more confident and consistent.
In this instance, I did not consider buying any other clubs because Cobra is the only brand making one-length irons. I wanted the LTDx for its forgiveness and distance to test whether the ONE Length could improve my long iron game and consistency.
What I love about it
- Distance: The PWR-COR system in the LTDx utilizes a steel core bar that is separated from the sole of the club. This allows the clubhead to have increased speed at impact and also have an improved rebound effect off the ball. This in turn transfers energy back out and increases the distance of the ball.
- Forgiveness: The PWRSHELL face cup has an increased diameter that is 23% larger at the face of impact, promoting increased forgiveness on shots off the center of the face.
- Feel: The combination of the PWR-COR and the PWRSHELL definitely helps increase the feel at impact. As a result of the larger area of forgiveness at impact, each shot feels as if it hits the center of the club face–and the distance shows it.
- Sound: The LTDx has a very sharp and crisp sound at impact. They really sound great where every shot feels like a pure hit.
- Shaft Feel: The KBS Tour $-Taper has a great feel and consistency with each club. The 120g really fits my swing speed well allowing me to have a consistent ball flight at impact with each swing.
- Shaft Performance: The $-Taper is made for mid-trajectory and low spin shots. They have stayed true to this here, making a consistent shot with each iron.
- Grip Feel: I prefer midsize grips so when purchasing these clubs, I also ordered the Golf Pride Tour Velvet Midsize grips. The midsize grips help me keep my hands lighter on the club for more consistency.
Issues I’ve encountered
- Workability: The LTDx are pretty set on forgiveness and distance. They have some workability to them but not as much as a cavity back iron because the face of impact is increased to favor forgiveness.
- Adjustability: The irons are all 37.25 inches in length and have no adjustability to change the lie angle or offset.
- Aesthetic Appeal: The 4-6 iron looks bulky at address and the toe angle has an increased offset due to the shaft length. They are not pleasing to the eye and definitely require an adjustment period for the visual of a shortened shaft length on the long irons.
- Launch Angle: I found that the long irons have a low launch due to the difference in shaft length. The low irons have a nice, high launch which really helps with accuracy when attacking the greens, but the long irons seem to suffer because of this.
Best shot with this club
It was the 17th hole at Larkin Golf Club. I was on a par 5 and after my tee shot, I had 220 yards into the green. As the 4 iron is the same length as the 7 iron, I was always unsure about the distance I would get. Even so, I decided to trust my 4 iron knowing it would have a lower ball flight than normal. I usually hit about 205-210 yards with my 4 iron, but this time I hit a perfect low draw which ended up rolling up to the green with about 25 feet left for eagle.
Value for the money vs. other options
I believe this set is worth the money considering most major brands like the Taylormade P790, the Callaway Apex, and Titleist T200 all cost more than $1,100. The LTDx ONE Iron Set is priced at $899.99 with limited customization options on the grips and shafts and no upcharge. They are meant to have great forgiveness and distance and they are also the only brand that currently makes single-length irons.
Final verdict
I bought this set to unlock my consistency and feel with my long irons (4-6) since they are the same length as the 7 irons. I found that my consistency has improved but with the single length, the club head angle changes drastically from a traditional set so my ball flight is really low for my 4-5 iron which is not preferable for me. As an iron set, the LTDx is great for forgiveness and the maximum distance it can achieve. The ONE Length distinguishes itself as a great setup for anyone looking for consistency in building their golf swing.
