About this Review: This review is my honest opinion of the putter, which I purchased with my own money in August of 2021.
My take
The Wilson Infinite Putter Buck Town is a high-quality putter for its price point. It has a soft face and tacky grip that gives me distance control on long putts and consistency making those 5 footers. I would recommend this putter to someone looking to upgrade their putter who needs more consistency and confidence making those pressure putts without having to break the bank.

How it performs
What I was looking for
My old putter (Top Flite PS - 01) didn’t have a great feel to it. I was using a blade putter and felt I needed more weight and balance within my stroke, because I was inconsistent on longer putts and missing short putts more than I thought I should. Ultimately, I wanted a heavier putter that had great feel and balance to it, so I could become more consistent and confident over those longer and shorter putts.
Why I chose this club
I bought this club because I only play a handful of times per month but I wanted to upgrade my putter without paying a huge amount. I picked the Infinite Buck Town because I thought the oversize grip, weight, and mallet style would help improve my game. I also really liked the all-black clubhead, as it pops and stands out.
What I love about it
- Face Feel: The ball comes off the face very softly and lets me know right away when I’ve struck it pure or had a mishit
- Forgiveness: This putter is very forgiving as well. When I don’t make solid contact, I still feel this putter performs as it should. It still creates momentum in a way that moves the ball where I am trying to go.
- Weight: It’s heavier than any other blade putter I’ve used, and it feels effortless to hit those long lag putts.
- Length: The length is solid as it is a standard 35-inch putter, which at my frame of 5’10’’ is comfortable.
- Aesthetic Appeal: The aesthetics is why I was drawn to the putter. The all-black club head looks incredibly sharp when I take the putter cover off.
- Grip Feel: The grip feel is tacky. It allows me to grip the club however I like; it is slightly oversized and fits nicely within the hands.
Issues I’ve encountered
- Alignment: The alignment isn’t my favorite part about this club, mainly due to the double neck and the triple lines on the back of the putter. I feel I am not always 100% confident in aligning my ball unless I have a stripe actually on my golf ball. When I do not have a line on my ball I tend to second guess if I am aiming correctly, but have started getting used to it.
- Customization: If I could change one thing, I’d prefer the putter to only have one line on its back for better alignment purposes. The other customizations available for this design are shaft length, which would just be based on preference.
Best Putt or Round with this Putter
Last week I played in a golf outing and dropped a 45-foot bomb on the longest putt for the women… I was thrilled when the pressure was on to have the confidence and distance control to be able to sink that type of putt.
Value for the money vs. other options
This putter is a great option for its price point. I believe most golfers looking at new putters would be happy purchasing this knowing they aren’t spending their whole budget on one club. Some other putters I would recommend around the same price point would be the Cleveland Hunting Beach Soft #11 or the Odyssey DFX 7.
Final verdict
This putter unlocks confidence. When I stand over a five footer or a 50 footer, I feel as if I am going to make it or come close. Putting is all about feel, and this putter unlocks all the feel I need when standing over the ball.
