What I was looking for

I was on the hunt for a golf ball with maximum performance and durability. I am a feel player, and I want the ball to be able to spin on mid-range approach shots into the green or around the green on chips.

Why I chose this golf ball

I decided to buy these golf balls because I believe they are the best performing golf ball on the market. They give me the most opportunity to spin the ball on both approach shots and around the green. I was debating on buying the Titleist PRO V1x golf balls, but believe the spin and feel is better suited for my game with the regular PRO V1s.

What I love about it

  • Distance: The distance is right on, as I can count on how far my drives are going to go (275 average) and how far each of my irons / wedges are also going to carry.
  • Feel: I love the feel the PRO V1s have to offer around the green. I can plan on these balls checking when I decide to play a lower spin shot or when I want to play a higher lob shot.
  • Green Spin: The spin on mid-range approach shots is ideal when I can count on the ball checking and spinning back toward the hole consistently.
  • Durability: The durability is one of the best in class. I can play a whole round with the ball and not see any cracks or knicks.
  • Color: The ball has a matte finish to it that has a sharp yet simple design to it. That allows me to find it easily, regardless of where it ends up.

Issues I’ve encountered

  • Other: This ball isn’t ideal for beginning golfers; they won’t be able to unlock the spin or workability of the ball like more experienced golfers.

Best shot with this golf ball

This past summer I chipped in from off the green for birdie on what was a perfect chip that checked up perfectly and then released into the hole.

Value for the money vs. other options

These golf balls are worth the value. They are more expensive than the average golf ball, but when one compares its performance (distance, spin) to the Callaway Chrome Soft ERC or the TaylorMade TP5, it beats all other options.

Final verdict

This ball unlocks confidence and consistency. I can always account for the correct distance and spin because they are high-performing golf balls. The low to mid handicapper needs these golf balls in their bag if they want to take their game to the next level.
