About this Review: This review is my honest opinion of the golf balls, which I purchased with my own money in July of 2021.
My take
The Callaway 2021 ERC Soft Triple Track Golf Balls are one of the better golf balls on the market for feel around the green. In addition, the triple track lines create a great visual for aligning the ball on putts. These balls are designed for the more serious golfer who wants great control and feel around the greens.

How it performs
What I was looking for
I was on the hunt for a golf ball with maximum performance around the greens. I am a feel player who likes to lob the ball high and have it land softly with my sand wedge. I also like to play lower shots with my gap wedge and have it check and stop on demand. I was looking for a ball that could help me do both.
Why I chose this golf ball
I decided to buy these golf balls because I had heard from a friend and now can personally say these are one of the better golf balls on the market when it comes to control around the green. I also loved how my alignment on the greens was consistent and more confident with the triple track lines.
What I love about it
- Feel: I love the feel the Callaway ERC golf ball has because it is consistent around the green and on approach shots. It is soft and is ideal for the “feel” players out there who want to shape their shots.
- Green Spin: The spin around the green is what separates this ball from its competitors. It lands softly on lobs and spins on lower trajectory shots.
- Durability The durability is solid; I can go a whole round and not have any cracks or knicks on the ball. I can play the same ball for more than just 18 holes.
- Color: The ball has a glossy finish and a sharp design with triple track lines running across the face. The triple track alignment is key in lining up more consistently and feeling confident over each putt.
Issues I’ve encountered
- Distance: The distance isn’t as long as other balls like the Titleist Pro V1 or the TaylorMade TP5.
Best shot with this golf ball
In July I played in a golf outing and rolled in a 45-foot putt using the triple track alignment feature. These lines gave me confidence to step up and only have to focus on the distance control, which allowed me to ultimately sink this putt.
Value for the money vs. other options
These golf balls are more expensive than the average ball, but for the more serious golfer worth the purchase just like the TaylorMade TP5 or Titleist Pro V1s.
Final verdict
This ball unlocks confidence and consistency around the green. Whatever type of shot I want to hit, I feel I can pull it off because this ball will check or land softly. Its other features like distance and durability are also up there as well—making it a great, high-end ball.
