Expert Review: Cleveland Launcher XL Halo Iron Set

About this Review: This review is my honest opinion of the iron set, which I purchased with my own money in June of 2021.
My take
The Cleveland Launcher XL Halo Iron Set is good for a scratch golfer; it will provide extra distance and accuracy. However, these clubs do not have the best forgiveness, so clean hits are necessary for each stroke. Also, the weight of the club head makes it difficult to gain swing speed.

How they perform
What I was looking for
I was looking to gain swing speed and accuracy so I could have less shots to the green. I had a friend that used these clubs, so I wanted to test them out.
Why I chose to test this club
I wanted to see how much distance I could gain with this club. The other opinions I tested in comparison were the Callaway Rogue irons. I chose this one because of the lightweight shaft and the Cleveland brand.
What I love about them
- Distance: I was able to gain some swing speed because of the lightweight shaft. Therefore I gained about two yards of distance.
- Shaft Feel: The shaft is very well made, creating fast swing speeds, and performs well in all conditions.
- Launch Angle: The launch is a very high apex. This helps with gaining distance. These clubs were at the right apex for max distance.
Issues I’ve encountered
- Forgiveness: I had to hit the ball dead center off the club face to get a decent shot. I tended to hit a draw with these clubs if it wasn't perfect.
- Feel: The feel of these clubs are very premium and they will last a long time
- Sound: These irons have a hollow head. So they are loud and sound like I’m hitting a bell.
- Workability: I have to use this club in only one way. I feel I cannot be too creative with my shots.
- Adjustability: This club does not offer any adjustability.
- Grip Feel: The grip was not very durable, as it fell off the club during my testing period.
- Spin: For me, this club created too much spin. This affected my game because I was less able to control where my ball went.
Best shot with this club
Although I did not like these clubs very much, on a par 5 I was able to hit the 9i at a great distance with a nice landing on the green.
Value for the money vs. other options
The Callaway Rogue set has much more value in my mind. The price for these is too high in my opinion. The Callaway Rogue has much more workability and will grow with one as their golf game progresses.
Final verdict
In the end, I felt this club did not help my golf game at all; it was very hard to hit clean shots.
