Overall Impressions

What's your overall impression of the board? My first impressions of the Proto FR women's model is that it is definitely a charger.

How is its flex? This board is a true 8 out of 10 flex. For me, this is one of the stiffest women’s boards I've been on in a very long time.

How is its edge hold? I did find the Triple Camber profile to be weirdly catchy at moments, which is a good and bad thing. When you're locked in, it really locks in. Though I didn't feel caught when I was locked into a carve. If I weren't locked into a turn, there were moments where I felt like I was catching a bit, and then maybe I slid out a bit, but then I got right back into it.

How is stability in turns? This board feels pretty stable. And it does have a little bit of playfulness to it. Not as much as I usually prefer, but it's definitely different from a full camber board. Though it's better than a hybrid.

How is its responsiveness? Even though it is a pretty stiff board, it is super responsive and really just a powerful blast to ride.

How is the board on jumps and how is its stability on landings? The dampness on this board is pretty high. It's also made out of tin, and really absorbed all of my landings. I didn't feel like I was landing on a plank of wood, even though it is pretty stiff.

How is it on uneven terrain? I personally felt like this board did really well in the uneven terrain. I was definitely able to make my tight turns and absorb everything.

Recommendations

Who would you recommend this board to? This board is certainly meant for a more aggressive rider.

Who should avoid this board? The Never Summer Lady FR is not for beginners, whatsoever. Snowboards work differently for different types of riders.
