About this Review: This review is my honest opinion of the golf balls, which I tested for one day in November of 2022.
My take
The 2022 Srixon Q-Star Tour 4 is a budget-friendly golf ball for the mid to high handicapper looking for distance. These golf balls aren’t as soft as other golf balls but are longer when it comes to distance.

How it performs
What I was looking for
I was on the hunt for a golf ball that wasn’t as high-end and more budget-friendly but still had a solid performance.
Why I chose this golf ball
I decided to buy the Srixon Q-Star Tour 4 golf balls because I believe they are a good value for the distance they offer. I didn’t expect a lot from their spin performance, but they flew and carried just as far as other balls I have used (Titleist PRO V1 and Callaway ERC).
What I love about it
- Distance: The distance is the best feature as the ball flies off the clubhead and carries just as far as, if not farther than, higher-end golf balls (Titleist Pro V1, Callaway Chrome Soft, etc.).
- Durability: The durability is decent. After an 18-hole round, the ball showed some wear and tear but nothing that can’t be played with the next time.
- Color: The Srixon Q-Star Tour 4 ball has a simple, sleek design, and its glossy finish allows it to pop when searching in the rough, making it easier to find.
Issues I’ve encountered
- Feel: The feel is pretty typical for a budget-friendly ball as it doesn’t land as soft as I would like, but I still can check when needed.
- Green Spin: The spin on mid-range approach shots is okay, as it takes a great, high-lofted shot to spin the ball backward.
Best shot with this golf ball
The best shot I had with the Srixon Q-Star Tour 4 ball was when I drilled one close from 180 yards out on a par 3, and it rolled within six feet. I followed it up by sinking the putt for birdie.
Value for the money vs. other options
The Srixon Q-Star Tour 4 golf balls are worth the value. They are budget-friendly, yet don’t sacrifice distance. I tried the TaylorMade Kalea and the Callaway ERC Soft X golf balls, and they performed better than the TaylorMade balls, but not as much as the Callaway ERC, which checks out as the price was right in between both for the Srixons.
Final verdict
The Srixon Q-Star Tour 4 golf ball unlocks the ability to keep up off the tee. These balls are long and have great features when it comes to distance, both with the driver and mid-iron. I think these are a solid option for any type of golfer but aimed more at the casual weekend golfer.
