About this Review: This review is my honest opinion of the putter, which I tested for one day in December of 2022.

My take

The Wilson Infinite Putter The “L” is a high-quality putter for the price point. It has a soft face and tacky grip, giving it a tremendous feel. I recommend this putter for someone looking to upgrade their putter without breaking the bank.

What I was looking for

My old putter (Top Flite PS-01) didn’t feel great. I was using a blade putter and felt like I needed more weight and balance within my stroke. I wanted a heavier putter with a great feel and balance.

Why I chose to test this club

Since I play a handful of times per month, I wanted to upgrade my putter without paying a huge amount for a new putter. So I tested this one because the oversize grip, weight, and mallet style would help improve my game. I also liked the all-black clubhead, as it pops and stands out. I considered a variety of options, including the Odyssey DFX #1 and TaylorMade Spider EX #3.

What I love about it

  • Face Feel: The face feel is amazing. The ball comes off the face very softly and allows for feel to be paramount within the putting stroke.
  • Forgiveness: This putter is also very forgiving. I still feel this putter performs as it should when I don't make solid contact. It still creates momentum in a way that moves the ball where I am trying to go.
  • Weight: I love the weight. It’s heavier than any other blade putter I’ve used, making it feel effortless to hit those long lag putts.
  • Length: The length is solid as it is a standard 35in putter. Feels comfortable at address.
  • Aesthetic Appeal: The aesthetics are one of the best and why I was drawn to the putter. The all-black clubhead looks incredibly sharp when I take the putter cover off.
  • Grip Feel: The grip feel is tacky. It allows me to grip it however I like, and the fact it is slightly oversize fits nicely within my hands.
  • Balance: The balance point is closer to the hands, creating a more consistent counterbalance which helps roll in more putts.

Issues I’ve encountered

  • Alignment: The alignment isn’t my favorite, with the triple lines on the back of the putter. It’s something I am not used to and makes me second guess if I am properly aligned.
  • Customization: I want to customize the putter to only have one line on the back of the putter for better alignment purposes.

Best Putt or Round with this Putter

I made 10 eight-foot putts in a row. I am usually not a great short-range putter and making that many in a row was a big plus when evaluating “The L’s” performance.

Value for the money vs. other options

This putter is a great option for the price point. I believe most people looking at new putters would be happy purchasing this, knowing they aren’t spending their whole budget on one club. Additionally, this putter performs well versus other high-end putters (TaylorMade Spider EX #3 and Odyssey DFX #1) and has way more consistency and feel than cheaper versions.

Final verdict

This putter unlocks confidence. When I stand over a five or a 50-footer, I feel I will make it or come close. Putting is all about feel, and this putter unlocks all the feel I need when standing over a putt.
