About this Review: This review is my honest opinion of the golf ball, which I tested for one day in December of 2022.
My take
The Srixon Soft Feel Brite Matte Green Golf Balls are one of the better balls on the market for feel around the green for their price. These balls are one of the cheaper on the market but, surprisingly, performed better around the green than I would have thought.

How it performs
What I was looking for
I was on the hunt for a budget-friendly golf ball for my dad and stumbled across the Srixon Soft Feel Brites and decided to give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised with their feel around the green.
Why I chose to test this golf ball
I decided to test the Srixon Soft Feel Brite Matte Green Golf Balls because I believe they are a good option for my dad as he only plays once a month and doesn’t need a high-end golf ball. I did not buy them for me personally, but I did for my dad since he will enjoy their feel around the green and won’t sacrifice distance off the tee.
What I love about it
- Feel: The feel is consistent around the greens and on approach shots into the hole, as they tend to land softly when hitting the green.
- Green Spin: The spin on the green is very average. Nothing flashy for a “cheaper” golf ball, but won’t spin backward a ton.
- Color: The ball has a matte green finish that pops out and is easy to see regardless of where the ball is.
Issues I’ve encountered
- Distance: The distance wasn’t consistent with higher-end balls. It probably doesn’t make a huge difference for the average golfer, but someone looking to maximize their game will see this as a deficit when it comes to distance off the tee and on full wedge shots.
- Durability: The Srixon Soft Feel Brites don’t last very long when it comes to wear and tear. I hit a few dozen shots with one ball and saw some smearing on the logo and a tear that wasn’t like that on the ProV1 or Chrome Soft.
Best shot with this golf ball
I stuck a 75-wedge shot within five feet on my second shot and was pleased with how it reacted to the green, with it spinning and stopping after three bounces.
Value for the money vs. other options
The Srixon Soft Feel Brite Matte Green Golf Balls are one of the cheaper on the market. I also tried the Bridgestone E6s and the Vice Stix Drive Golf Balls, and they were all relatively the same regarding distance and feel.
Final verdict
The Srixon Soft Feel Brite Matte Green is a perfect ball for casual golfers who aren’t looking for anything special within their golf ball but a classic ball that performs well around the green and off the tee with some added green flare.
