About this Review: This review is my honest opinion of the golf balls, which I purchased with my own money in February of 2022.

My take

The Callaway Chrome Soft Truvis golf balls are a great choice for golfers who want to enhance their performance on the course. The Truvis pattern on the ball offers excellent visibility, making it easy to track the ball's flight path in the air and locate it on the ground. The golf balls are designed for a wide range of golfers regardless of their skill level. The ball's construction and performance features make it suitable for beginners, intermediate players, and even professionals.

What I was looking for

I was hunting for this golf ball because it is the best caliber for a moderate golfer like myself. I truly enjoy the chrome soft feel, with the Truvis technology to make the ball easier to spot in the air.

Why I chose this golf ball

I really enjoy the soft feel when struck. The ball's low-compression core and high-performance mantle work together to produce a high launch and low spin for maximum distance off the tee, while the Truvis pattern makes it easy to track in the air and find on the course. I also bought many close competitors, such as the Titleist Pro V1 and TaylorMade MP5 golf balls. I just enjoyed using the Truvis more because of the performance technology. However, this could also be based heavily on the preference of the golf ball feel.

What I love about it

  • Distance: The Chrome Soft Truvis ball is designed for a low compression core, producing a high launch and low spin for maximum distance. However, the distance can be shortened a little based on the softness of the golf ball.
  • Feel: The ball has a soft feel when struck, making it easy to compress and providing a comfortable feel for golfers. Keep in mind that some people might think these golf balls can be too soft for their preference.
  • Green Spin: This ball offers excellent spin control on approach shots and around the greens. The spin is perfect.
  • Durability: This ball has high durability. Each ball features the Truvis pattern on the ball's surface, made with high-quality ink designed to resist fading, peeling, and scratching. Overall this ball has an average durability lifespan as any other competitor golf ball.
  • Color: The bright spots on the ball make the ball stick out like a sore thumb. However, the color can start to fade on the pattern making it harder to spot. This ball has a glossy shine to ensure great vision of the ball in the sky. The ball is easier to spot with the Truvis design.

Issues I’ve encountered

  • Other: Around 6-8 months of regular use, the Truvis design slowly starts to fade over time being used.

Best shot with this golf ball

I play golf frequently in Flagstaff, AZ. A little par 3 with the Chrome Softs took me closer to the pin than I could with any other ball I've used previously. I've significantly improved my ball flight and overall shot shape. The ball seems to launch higher and carry further off the tee, giving me more distance than I had previously experienced with other balls. My drives have improved dramatically, giving me an extra few yards to the pin each swing. I can also generate a lot more backspin from each swing.

Value for the money vs. other options

I recommend the Chrome Soft Truvis golf balls compared to any other golf balls on the market, such as Titleist Pro V1, TaylorMade TP5, and Bridgestone Tour B RX. These golf balls may be priced higher than others; however, their combination of performance benefits, quality materials, reputation, and unique appearance make them a worthwhile investment for many golfers.

Final verdict

I highly recommend the Callaway Chrome Soft Truvis golf balls to any golfer who wants to improve their distance, accuracy, and overall shot-making abilities on the course.
