The Curated Take

4.5/5

The Titleist TSR3 driver is designed for more advanced golfers aiming for improved workability and shot shaping. Its distinctive features include the SureFit CG Track for adjustability and a refined shape for confidence in shot direction. A focused sweet spot enhances distance but reduces forgiveness for off-center hits. The driver's pleasing sound, crisp feel, and repeatable launch give consistent feedback. This high-performing, value-for-money driver appeals to golfers for its blend of distance, adjustability, and workability, making it a solid investment for those who regularly strike the sweet spot.

Expert Reviews of the Titleist TSR3 Driver

The TSR3 driver is a fantastic option for low to mid-handicap players who have consistent contact and want a workable and more penetrating ball flight off the tee. The TSR3 features a Speed Ring within its Variable Face Technology that focuses on the sweet spot to produce higher ball speeds and distances. Another improvement Titleist added to increase ball speeds is the SureFit CG Track that, similar to the Speed Ring, focuses the sweet spot zone to where the most consistent contact is made on the face. The focused hitting zones naturally reduce the forgiveness level a bit on contact outside of the zone. Another feature more advanced players will enjoy is the rounded head that looks outstanding at address. I tested the Titleist TSR3 driver at Top Golf and a local driving range to understand the overall performance and compare it to my TSR2 model. The refined shape and the ball flight are most noticeable to me. The lower flight and not being as forgiving as the TSR2 leads me to recommend this club to more advanced ball strikers.
sebastian carranza The newest Titleist TSR3 Is simply one of the most equipped drivers on the market. It has a really hot face allowing it to get that pop and distance you want. The spin on this driver is relatively low and maintains a consistent and classic look at address. Overall great golf club.
Christopher Colburn These drivers are great, they offer multiple options to fit many different golfers, across a broad spectrum of needs for them. They are an amazingly well built driver, and are such a forgiving driver that almost any golfer out there can implement into their bags to help play better golf.
Christopher Colburn What a driver!!!! It is an absolute rocket launcher, and is a very forgiving driver. It is such a good looking driver, and is such an absolute rocket launcher off of the tee. It is such a forgiving driver, and such an amazing product to put in the hands of any golfer out there.
One of the better driver offerings on the market today from Titleist. This driver is made for the gamer looking to be able to work the ball and have a consistent launch. One of the longer clubs on the market without the massive amounts of carbon from other OEMS. This driver is classic in design, shape and feel but has a ton of pop off the face.
One of the best drivers on the market for the mid to top tier players that can replicate their driver swing every time. This driver has a slightly more compact footprint with a deep face that is ideal for players looking for a classic shape with modern tech. This driver stacked up perfectly with other top of the line drivers on the market but I was able to dial in spin, launch and carry with ease compared to other models. Players looking to bag a low spin head with a ton of workability will benefit from this head overall. The spin generally sat between 2500-3100 in testing on center shots while the heel and toe miss shots averaged slightly higher in the 3300-3500 range. This is in line with the Stealth 2 Plus driver in testing though the Stealth 2 Plus appearance was a personal drawback. Overall this is the perfect driver for the modern player looking to game a workable, long and enjoyable driver.

Review Ratings

Workability

5/5
gave 5 of 5 stars. The added SureFit CG Track adjustability and the refined shape will give more advanced players the confidence to work the ball in either direction. The TSR1 and 2 focus more on forgiveness, whereas the TSR3 and 4 is designed for more workability and shot shaping.

Forgiveness

3/5
gave 3 of 5 stars. My contact can vary a bit over the face, so the reduced forgiveness on the TSR3 is definitely noticeable to me. Shots struck away from the focused sweet spot are noticeably shorter in distance and have a marginally different ball flight. I see misses to the left and the right on the range when testing the TSR3.

Feel

5/5
gave 5 of 5 stars. The feel of the TSR3 is very pleasing and follows suit with the similar feel that Titleist has been known for with their drivers. A crisp and clean feeling is how I describe the TSR3. It's a little firmer than the TSR2, but it gives the same responsive feedback to know where the ball has been struck on the face.

Sound

5/5
gave 5 of 5 stars. A traditional and classic sound coming off the TSR3 driver head will appeal to a wide range of players searching for a new driver. The sound is really nice both on center strikes and on mishits. Sounds aren't too muted or hollow sounding; they seem just right to me.

Launch

4/5
gave 4 of 5 stars. With the TSR3 offered in four different lofts, adjustability on the SureFit CG Track and the hosel sleeve gives players full adjustability to dial in the exact ball flight they would like to see. When playing with different settings, I can easily heighten and lower the launch to hit a desired flight.

Distance

5/5
gave 5 of 5 stars. With the focused sweet spot, the TSR3 adds a nice bit of distance and ball speed for good contact. When struck on the CG (center of gravity) location, I see five more yards further than the TSR2 on the range. Unfortunately, this isn't consistent for me as my contact can vary and benefit from the added forgiveness. Players who can't repeat where they make contact on the face will see a nice distance jump.

FAQs

What was your favorite moment with this gear?

I enjoy making adjustments on the SureFit CG Track on the TSR3 driver to see what kind of distance improvements and ball flight adjustments I can see. The SureFit CG Track moves the CG (center of gravity) to be positioned behind the repeated point of impact on the face. I make more repeatable contact towards the toe side of the face resulting in a draw flight, so I am inclined to place the CG in one of the toe settings. By adjusting the SureFit CG Track to the T2 setting (furthest setting towards the toe), I see a slightly straighter ball flight and an average of four added yards in distance from the standard setting. I think this enhancement will optimize performance off the tee with the TSR3 for more advanced players.

Why did you choose this product?

I tend to gravitate towards Titleist drivers since I've had success with them in the past. I chose the Titleist TSR3 because I feel it has the best combination of distance, adjustability, and workability. Other design elements, such as rounded shaping and soft feel, also suit my preferences. I tried the TSR3 at Top Golf and a golf resort to get a feel for the ball flight and distance.

What is the value for the money versus other options?

The Titleist TSR3 offers great overall value with the all-around performance it provides. The TSR3 is one of the top options for distance, ball flight consistency, feel, and looks. The well-rounded offering from Titleist gives this option more value than others at its price point.

What do you love about this product?

The Titleist TSR3 driver encompasses performance and design enhancements that will appeal to many low to mid-handicap golfers. The TSR3 driver adds an extra element of adjustability to the TSR line with the SureFit CG Track that shifts the sweet spot to a focused point on the face. This is applied to help players with a consistent contact point on the face increase ball speeds for more distance. At address, the TSR3 has a more rounded shape than the TSR2, giving it a slightly more compact look. I really enjoy the overall look of the head and think it inspires confidence to hit any shot I'd like. I love the slightly more advanced player refinements on the TSR3 model. It would be a great fit for players who want a little more adjustability and workability out of their driver.
