The Curated Take
4.7/5
The Titleist Pro V1x golf ball, firmer than the Pro V1 yet retaining a soft feel, is ideal for low-handicap, fast-swinging players. It offers high compression, exceptional green spin, and greater carry distances due to its 4-layer construction. Despite being a premium, tour-level option, users value its performance, trusting it for consistency and precision on the course. Though pricier, it's considered worth the cost, outperforming comparable balls on the market. High launch, high spin, and its popularity among professional players make it a preferred choice for those seeking to enhance their game.

Expert Reviews of the Titleist 2023 Pro V1x Golf Ball
Josh Snyder I love the Pro V1x ball, because it has allowed me to truly trust my gear in going for a pin and the ball stopping where it's supposed to and getting enough zip backwards on pin seeking shots. Mainly, I love how the Pro V1x feels on iron shots. In one word I would describe the pure shot feeling as rewarding. I say this because golf is all about confidence, and if a player isn't confident in their ability to make shots happen, they'll never make it. I highly recommend this ball for low-handicap players who need a ball they can trust to perform in any condition.
Evan Bliss The Prov1x is probably the best golf ball on the market. It offers high launch, great spin, and good feel. You are also able to work the Pro V1x ball very effectively. I would absolutely recommend it to more experienced golfers that are looking to improve their overall game. The ball also gives you a good amount of distance.

Review Ratings
Feel
5/5
Josh Snyder gave 5 of 5 stars. Being firmer than the Pro V1, the Pro V1x still has a soft feel but is noticeably firmer at contact and when hitting on firmer terrain. The ball has a high compression rate in the high 90s, making it suitable for fast-swinging players who can produce lots of spin. Overall feel is just what any low-handicap player would prefer.
Green Spin
5/5
Josh Snyder gave 5 of 5 stars. The Pro V1x was engineered to be the best-performing golf ball on the market. What makes it stand out from the regular Pro V1 and other brand options is that it's capable to produce more spin and a higher trajectory. A ball you can truly trust to stop on a dime when needed.
Distance
4/5
Josh Snyder gave 4 of 5 stars. The Pro V1x is a tour-level ball that is the pinnacle of performance. With a 4-layer build for ultimate spin and control, the Pro V1x is also a long ball off the tee. More spin and higher trajectory equal more carry most of the time, but can also lead to more trouble on windy days or inconsistency with longer irons.
FAQs
What was your favorite moment with this gear?
Josh Snyder My favorite moment with the 2023 Pro V1x is when I had a 145 yard par 3 and knew I wanted to hit a nice soft draw into it. With the setup of this particular green, the draw was very much the shot shape to pull off, and I remember taking the club back and coming down to barely feel the ball off the face. Seeing the ball in the air curving left was such a sigh of relief, especially when the ball dropped on the green and sat. It almost stayed in its own pitch mark only 2 feet from the hole.
Why did you choose this product?
Josh Snyder I chose this ball over other options, because I know I can put my trust into it and know it'll do what I want it to do more than any other golf ball I've tried on the market.
What is the value for the money versus other options?
Josh Snyder With a $50 price tag, the Pro V1x is not a cheap option, and it proves why once it's on the course. Titleist has spent decades perfecting the Pro V line, and if paired with a decent enough player, the Pro V1x is a hard ball to find a true match with on the market. Compared to other options, like the Callaway Chrome soft and TaylorMade TP5 that go for the same price, Titleist still seems to have the best assortment of tour-proven balls that the majority of players use. These other options also don't seem to have the same positive results that players can find with the Pro V1x.
What do you love about this product?
Josh Snyder The Pro V1 and Pro V1x are two of Titleist's three premium-level balls they currently offer. The Pro V1 is the lower spinning, lower trajectory, and softer option between the two, while the Pro V1x is their higher launching, higher spinning, harder feeling option. The Pro V1x is typically recommended for players looking to get more spin and height on their shots.
Both the Pro V1 and Pro V1x are highly popular tour balls. Used by over 50% of the entire PGA Tour, the Pro V1 is used by almost 40% of the players compared to just 27% using the Pro V1x. Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x are the most used balls in all professional tournaments.
