Expert Reviews of the TaylorMade Spider EX Navy Putter
Ari T The TaylorMade Spider EX Navy Putter is one of the best high performance mallet putters out there. It has a very high MOI and is extremely forgiving. It performs the same basically no matter where on the face you hit the ball. Great for alignment. Face balanced design is ideal for someone with a straight back, straight through stroke. Not good for someone who opens and closes the putter or likes to play a blade.
Aaron Payne The TaylorMade Spider EX Navy Putter is a premium golf putter that offers numerous benefits for golfers seeking improved performance on the greens. With its high-MOI (Moment of Inertia) design and multi-material construction, the putter provides exceptional stability and forgiveness, minimizing twisting on off-center hits. The True Path alignment system, featuring a white alignment line and navy-blue sightlines, helps golfers aim more accurately and consistently. Forgiveness
4/5
Aaron Payne gave 4 of 5 stars. The putter's high MOI (Moment of Inertia) design redistributes weight to the perimeter of the clubhead, resulting in increased stability and resistance to twisting on off-center strikes. This forgiveness is particularly beneficial on mishits, as it helps maintain ball speed and direction, reducing the negative impact of imperfect contact. The combination of the putter's multi-material construction and advanced engineering ensures consistent performance across the face, enhancing forgiveness even on slight misalignments.
Alignment
5/5
Aaron Payne gave 5 of 5 stars. The alignment on the TaylorMade Spider EX Navy putter is designed to enhance accuracy and consistency on the greens. The putter features a unique alignment system that includes a contrasting white line on the crown, which helps golfers align the putter face square to the target line. Additionally, there are two small white dots on the flange of the putter head that serve as further alignment aids. These dots provide visual cues that assist golfers in achieving a proper setup and alignment.
Grip
4/5
Aaron Payne gave 4 of 5 stars. The grip on the TaylorMade Spider EX Navy putter is designed to provide golfers with a comfortable and secure hold. The putter comes equipped with a specialized SuperStroke Pistol GTR 1.0 grip, which features a pistol shape that promotes a consistent hand position throughout the stroke. The grip is made of a soft yet durable rubber material that offers excellent feedback and feel. It also incorporates a non-slip surface texture that enhances grip stability, even in wet or humid conditions.
