The Curated Take
4.7/5
The Ride Hera Pro snowboard boots are ideal for intermediate to advanced all-mountain riders. With a solid 7/10 flex, they offer excellent response and support in technical terrain. These boots feature a double BOA system for a locked-in feel, Michelin tire material for superior grip, and a premium synthetic construction for enhanced durability. They're also lightweight, waterproof, and shock-absorbent, ensuring all-day comfort. Their versatility extends from backcountry to park to groomed runs. Despite a slightly lacking heel hold system, these boots deliver on performance and value for money.

Expert Reviews of the Ride Hera Pro Snowboard Boots
Sarah Caldwell I'm extremely impressed with the quality of these boots by Ride. I've been consistently riding with Ride's boots, and these Hera Pros do not disappoint. This past season, I purchased a few different boots to figure out the ideal pair, and these were the clear winner. I highly recommend the Hera Pros for intermediate-advanced all-mountain riders looking for an incredibly supportive and comfortable boot. The traction is solid, and the double BOA system really locks me in. Ride rates them 7/10 flex, but I don't find them extremely stiff. Overall solid versatility and a stylish look, plus they keep my feet warm!

Review Ratings
Responsiveness
5/5
Sarah Caldwell gave 5 of 5 stars. These boots are a stiffer flex at 7/10, giving me a more locked-in feel. I definitely look for a stiffer boot because I want top response when hitting more technical terrain. I did some touring in Snoqualmie through trees, hiking up some incredibly steep terrain, and these boots really held up. I also rode many icy days out there, and these boots didn't feel too flexy.
Grip
5/5
Sarah Caldwell gave 5 of 5 stars. One of the many favorite parts of these boots is the next-level grip they provide. The grip came in handy when I was touring the backcountry at Snoqualmie. I spent time trekking through a lot of icy spots and deeper snow, and I didn't slip out or feel unstable.
Comfort
5/5
Sarah Caldwell gave 5 of 5 stars. I spent a good part of my season riding with these boots. I have another pair I used about 25% of the season, but the Hera Pros take the cake for the best comfort. Initially, these boots didn't fit my feet perfectly, but that's to be expected with brand-new boots. They definitely felt a bit too tight, but I knew they would open up as I broke them in. After heat-molding the boots and wearing them on the slopes for a couple of days, they molded perfectly to my foot shape.
Heel Hold
3/5
Sarah Caldwell gave 3 of 5 stars. I've spent a good chunk of last season riding with these boots and a pair of DCs. The heel hold is there, but it's less locked in than I would like. I love to spend a lot of time in the trees making quick maneuvers, and I notice some slight lift in my heels as the day goes on. I've found to dial in a tighter fit. After fully kicking my heels back, I wear a thicker wool sock and crank down both BOA systems.
Durability
5/5
Sarah Caldwell gave 5 of 5 stars. Ride uses premium synthetics in its boots to reduce wear and improve overall durability. I've taken these through all types of terrain: groomed runs, trees, backcountry, icy trails, and the park. These boots have held up incredibly well, and I haven't had any issues with the BOA breaking down or the boot itself.
Ease of Use
5/5
Sarah Caldwell gave 5 of 5 stars. When looking for new boots, I knew I wanted a double BOA system and a stiffer pair. With the double BOA, there's more room for adjustability. They are also quicker than dealing with traditional laces. Getting in and out of these boots is painless and easy.
Shock Absorption
5/5
Sarah Caldwell gave 5 of 5 stars. Ride uses its Impacto Elite Insole in the Hera Pro model. After a full day of riding, my feet never feel sore, no joke. With the combination of these boots and shock-absorbing bindings, the level of support is solid. I definitely notice more underfoot support when landing jumps because of that additional cushion.
Weight
5/5
Sarah Caldwell gave 5 of 5 stars. I currently have a few different setups that I ride, like the DC Step-Ons. The weight difference is definitely noticeable. My Hera Pros feel much lighter but don't skimp on comfort. Now that these boots are fully broken in, I enjoy some apres in these boots for longer than necessary. They are so comfortable that I do not want to remove them immediately.
Waterproofing
5/5
Sarah Caldwell gave 5 of 5 stars. These boots keep my feet comfortable and dry all day riding. I spent a weekend at Winter Park in the spring riding with these, and it was super warm and slushy. I definitely sweat up a storm, but it went completely unnoticed in these boots. A bamboo charcoal-infused internal system even helps absorb moisture and any built-up odors.
Versatility
4/5
Sarah Caldwell gave 4 of 5 stars. I've ridden these boots in a few different states and tested them in a wide variety of terrain. These are super supportive. They don't completely lack flex, so they can be used in the park. Some pure park riders prefer even more flex in their boots, but a stiffer boot like the Heras would provide more support for bigger features. I spent a week at Schweitzer in Idaho with epic powder conditions, and these boots gave me the confidence to tackle any terrain. I've had numerous bad experiences with boots, so having trust in my boots has taken my riding to another level.
FAQs
Why did you choose this product?
Sarah Caldwell When I choose boots, I look for the best features to give me all-day comfort and support. I knew I wanted a stiffer, high-performance set of boots, and the Ride Hera Pros checked off all the boxes. Ride introduced the Hera Pro model for the 2023 season, and I had tried the standard Hera in the past. I've always loved how Ride's boots fit my feet and the quality and durability they offer.
What is the value for the money versus other options?
Sarah Caldwell Overall, the value is comparable to higher-end women's models on the market. Similar models from other brands would be the Burton Felix, DC Mora, or Thirtytwo TM-2. The Hera Pros have extremely similar features to the Burton Felix but a bit more wallet-friendly price tag. The only thing I've found slightly lacking with these is the heel hold system. I tend to crank both BOAs tightly, which usually solves the issue. I like a super locked-in feel, and these boots definitely deliver on performance.
What do you love about this product?
Sarah Caldwell These boots provide great response while carving and at higher speeds. The level of comfort is incredible after I broke these in. Like most new snowboard boots, when I first tried these on, they were extremely snug (almost too snug), with my big toes touching the ends of the boots. I did my own custom heat molding at home and worked on breaking them in before an official day on the mountain. Once I had a few days of riding in, the fit couldn't have been more perfect. They have Michelin tire soles for additional grip, which is great for touring days or icy treks in the parking lot.
