The Callaway Dawn Patrol Golf Glove is a versatile choice for everyday golfers seeking comfort and control during fair weather conditions. Its technical features, including a durable leather material, secure Velcro closure, and moisture-wicking perforations, allow for a reliable grip and dry palms even in hot weather. However, this glove isn't designed for cold or wet conditions. Priced around $15, it offers substantial value for its durability and performance, making it a cost-effective solution for regular golfing sessions.

Expert Reviews of the Callaway Dawn Patrol Golf Glove
Scott Davis Having tried a number of standard golf gloves in the sub-$25 price range, the Dawn Patrol is the best I have found. It is my everyday glove from spring to fall. For the price, I have yet to find better durability and comfort. The leather material and stitching pattern has proven to be comfortable from the moment I put it on straight from the package. The Velcro keeps the glove secure and prevents grip-side wrinkles. The perforations and material choices keep my palm dry even on hot days.
Of course, I do not wear this glove in the rain, although I'm not sure why anyone would when there are so many gloves designed for those conditions. But for most "normal" people, playing golf when the temps are reasonable and the course is less than drenched, this glove is a great solution at a killer price.
I replace this glove after approximately 15-20 rounds.
Evan Bliss The Callaway Dawn Patrol golf glove is great for the everyday golfer. It has an excellent feel and comfort for players looking to control their clubs a little bit better. It feels great everywhere and is even useful for short-chip and pitch shots. It also gives me more grip where I can hit more consistent shots.

Warmth
3/5
Scott Davis gave 3 of 5 stars. Under standard golf weather conditions, the Dawn Patrol is plenty warm. It is clearly not designed to produce warmth, but I don't know many golfers who wear a single glove for warmth anyway. If someone is looking specifically for cold-weather golf gloves, this is not the glove for them. It is thin and perforated, designed for comfort and grip in standard golf weather. I give it three stars only because it is perfectly adequate for its intended use, but warmth really isn't a factor in that use, so the glove is just what it is. When I play golf in Oregon in November-April, it is often cold and wet. During these rounds, I do not choose this glove. But the rest of the year, when I play the majority of golf, this glove is on my hand with all the warmth I need.
Waterproofing
3/5
Scott Davis gave 3 of 5 stars. Golfers should look elsewhere if they are searching for a waterproof golf glove (aka a glove when it rains during their golf round). But if they're looking for a "normal" golf glove to wear when the weather is nice, the Dawn Patrol has plenty of waterproofing to meet their needs. I like how it wicks the moisture away from my palm so my grip stays dry even when it is really hot out. I recently walked 18 holes in 85° weather, pushing my cart with clubs. I took my glove off while putting but wore it the rest of the time. My clubs never slipped from poor wicking or a wet glove. On the flip side, when I played in rainy conditions throughout this past winter in Oregon (it's wet here), I switched to my rain grip gloves on both hands.
FAQs
What was your favorite moment with this gear?
Scott Davis I wish I could pinpoint some amazing and specific feat that I accomplished in my Dawn Patrol glove. Alas, I have never had a hole-in-one or eagled 18 to shoot in the 60s. But as any golfer will say, my next round is my favorite. I love playing at dawn and twilight, and this glove has proven dependable across the board. I just want my glove to go unnoticed and perform, and this one does. Here's to the next round and the memories made.
Why did you choose this product?
Scott Davis I initially purchased the Dawn Patrol glove because I was tired of my gloves falling apart prematurely. I had tried at least three other gloves at various price points and was disappointed, so I decided to try Callaway. This glove was priced reasonably, so why not? In addition, "dawn patrol" early morning golf is my absolute favorite, and the name holds some romanticism for me, so that was an extra draw. Once I bought it, I was hooked. It has lasted longer than any glove I have worn and was immediately comfortable from first use.
What is the value for the money versus other options?
Scott Davis The value of the Dawn Patrol glove is substantial, in my experience. The reasonable price initially attracted me, and then I discovered that it also lasts really well. I have not found a glove that lasts longer, grips and wicks better, or performs its required duties any better than this one, all for ~$15. Previously, I paid the same or more and often had the glove rip in the palm or at the Velcro. The Dawn Patrol is a great value, indeed.
What do you love about this product?
Scott Davis There is a lot to love about the Dawn Patrol golf glove. For the price, I have yet to find better durability and comfort. The leather material and stitching pattern has proven to be comfortable from the moment I put it on straight from the package. The Velcro keeps the glove secure and prevents grip-side wrinkles. The perforations and material keep my palm dry even on the hottest days. It's the best-performing glove I have purchased and is offered at a tremendous price, making it easy for me to replace it every 15-20 rounds, knowing the new one will feel great and wear well immediately—a slam dunk, in my experience.
