The Curated Take

4.0/5

The TaylorMade Stealth Rescue Hybrid is ideal for mid to high-handicap golfers seeking extra distance, precision, and a forgiving club. Its advanced technology offers a butter-smooth feel at impact, produces a pleasing sound, and ensures a consistent low-launch trajectory. The club's automatic feel allows golfers to swing without overthinking and provides extra yards of carry, making it the farthest-hitting hybrid in many players' bags.

Expert Reviews of the TaylorMade Stealth Rescue Hybrid

The Stealth Rescue is the longest hybrid on the market. Match it with the appropriate shaft, and one has a hybrid that will have deadly accuracy and dispersion.
Scott Davis The Stealth Rescue hybrid has given me a shot-shaping weapon that fits nicely between my 4-iron and 3-wood. It's not quite as long or forgiving as others I have played, but I could never hit draws and fades with those the way I can with this. I love the feel, sound, and shaping of this club.
Michael V TaylorMade's Stealth hybrid offers the perfect frame for forgiveness with the corrective loft twist face technology, with a higher ball flight and consistent trajectory. The Stealth Hybrid is the lightest clubhead from TaylorMade's Rescue clubs, offering a crown loaded with carbon to provide more distance.
Brett Schwanke Rescues can be hit or miss. Not super forgiving, but it definitely gets the job done.
The TaylorMade Stealth Hybrid is one of the most forgiving hybrids on the market. The club is very forgiving and hits very far. The new carbon crown construction makes it an excellent choice for all golfers wanting to increase their distances and keep the ball hitting straight. As a result, this club best fits the mid to high handicapper wishing to improve their game.
The TaylorMade Stealth Rescue is forgiving and hits very far. The feel of the club is very nice as well. This club best suits players who struggle with their fairway woods and need more forgiveness. Overall, this club best fits the average golfer who shoots above 80. It is ideal for golfers needing forgiveness and distance.

Review Ratings

Workability

3/5
gave 3 of 5 stars. I’ve noticed that it’s hard to get this hybrid not to go straight. Given that, I am still able to work a ball by manipulating the face at setup, as well as my hips.

Forgiveness

4/5
gave 4 of 5 stars. This is the first time I have genuinely felt I don’t have to think, just swing. It feels automatic. It is forgiving across the face, which offers good speed and accuracy no matter how I hit it. Be aware that hitting it high or low on the face will change the ball's flight characteristics.

Feel

5/5
gave 5 of 5 stars. The technology in the face doesn't give this hybrid a dull feeling, just a butter-smooth feeling at impact. It is by far one of the best-feeling hybrids on the market currently. This ranks at the top for feel.

Sound

4/5
gave 4 of 5 stars. Sound can be subjective, though the Stealth Rescue hybrid checks all the boxes in terms of sound for me. It is not too loud or muted, though it will let me know where I hit the ball along the face based on the sound. It may not be the nice "thunk" I get from a forged iron, but it is still a pleasant and pleasing sound.

Launch

3/5
gave 3 of 5 stars. I have noticed that this hybrid tends to launch low stingers with that rising ball flight before falling out of the air. That’s not to say someone can’t hit a high ball, though generally, it likes to hit the ball low. Results vary from player to player, though.

Distance

5/5
gave 5 of 5 stars. I hit most 3 hybrids 240ish, though with the Stealth Rescue, I can gain about 10 yards of extra carry every time I hit this club. It makes par 5s easily reachable, which is a welcome addition as I consider par 5s the best scoring opportunity on a course.

FAQs

What was your favorite moment with this gear?

Hitting my 3-hybrid 250 feels amazing. This is especially true when I sit on a terrible lie, and all I have to do is swing, and the ball flies onto the green from 250 out. That was my first eagle, and I did it with the Stealth Rescue hybrid.

What do you love about this product?

The Stealth Rescue hybrid feels automatic. It's easy to swing, and a pure hit absolutely jumps off the face. Combine that with its accuracy, feel, and sound, and I have a match made in heaven. It's one of the best hybrids I have used.
